Spec me a gaming pc

Hi,

I'm about to build my first gaming pc & would really appreciate your help on what's parts to buy.

I'll be using it for gaming at res 1680 x 1050, and want to be able to play at the best detail & FPS possible. Its only other use will be surfing & playing films & music.

I've already got an Antec P180 to house it in & a Hiper 580w to power it.

I've got £500 (£550 at a push) to spend on the cpu, mobo, graphics, memory & HSF.

I'd like to be able to overclock & am looking for something OC friendly as this will be my first time.

So guys, build me a machine

Cheers, am I best spending more on the mobo rather than going for an E8400 or E8500?

If your going to overclock little point getting those as you can over clock even past there speeds.

That X48 is good if you want Crossfire (now or in the future), other the £111 Asus P45 P5Q Pro is fine.

I don't think I'll need to go Crossfire in the future as my res is only 1680 x 1050, are there any major benefits from going for the more expensive board?
