Your assistance will be greatly appreciated

Hello 8of9

I am not sure if you needed a operating system or monitor too?

But a few pionts,

1)120GB SSD to store the OS and run your apps/programs and games.
2)2TB HDD for storage as i know 3D modeling/Animation requires lots of space.
3)A screen with a high quality panel for accurate colour re-production and easy eye strain.
4)8GB of RAM that doesnt have tall heatspreaders to fit under the aftermarket cooling.

go with stulids build.

quick question though, would some of the stuff that the Nvidia cards have that ati dont make it any better for the animation/3D stuff (cuda, physx, etc)

*edit*
his second build is even better. will you ever cease to be champion computer speccer?

if he could spam another 100 posts, then free delivery takes it to £1200 exactly.

Surely thats not allowed :D.

And i think the Cuda/Physx only help if you know how to, as i think in earlier versions of say 3DS Max, it renders from CPU, so a Quad with HT is great :).

But with Maya 2012/3DS Max 2012 out later this year, i think they will most probably have options for CPU/GPU rendering, where the nvidia cards may have a slight advantage.

Ha :P

I genuinely got mine to 600+, mostly in Laptops, converted to Mobiles now, with a bit of Windows/Software etc :D

But ye, cracking build stulid - incase i get done for going off topic!

i dont feel so bad about my post count now. its amazing how much you can post just by recommending a few builds a day, and posting random stuff in GD
