Hi there :)

Im looking to build a PC for a friend, he has a budget of 600£. He already has a monitor and peripherals, all he needs is the base unit without RAM. He currently has 2gb of Gskill HZ.

He wants his PC for gaming and watching movies through his TV.

Thanks in advance guys, im sure you'll do me proud :P

This Is a Decent Gaming Rig,Will Run Most Games With Ease,Also V Good Overclocking Ability With The Mobo And Processor

Hope This Helps :)

Why not the q6600? From what i've seen they're rather good, even performed well in the packard bell machines at i33 and thats a bloody miracle in its own right.

well as far as gaming goes not much point in having 4 cores at the moment IMO they also don't clock as well as some other processors.

i know people with them, my system is better than theirs as far as gaming/graphic benching goes and they are running GTX cards lol

my current setup:

E6750
MSI Neo2 FR
Crucial Ballistix DDR2 PC6400
BFG 8800GT OC

if i was to bulid something for someone i'd go for something like the above again, maybe even a newer 45nm cpu would be the only change i'd make :)

they are very close to the 8800gt and scale about 80% in sli so that system would be way more powerful than the single 8800gt option. plus the 45nm dual core overclocks pretty well and will give you much better gaming performance than the quad

hmm, one the main problems my friend has is a very warm room, and therefore he doesnt really want to overclock. so i think perhaps the 8800 might be cooler aswell than running 2x9600's?
