thanks in advance

Not play Company of Heroes? :o

Anyway, your best bet is probably the 5850 TBH - depending on budget of course.

between £100-400 whatevers needed. but dont want to get something that would be wasted at the res im playing at,like would a 5970 be overkill?

Well you could say, if you can afford it order it (and if you got the power and space etc)

the 5870 seems the sweet point and big sellers at the moment

10/11inches

a 12inch long 280GTX fits inside one, may have to juggle HD around, its the height in the 300 case i was told was the issue. (or depth)

for the resolutions i'll be playing at would there be much difference in performance between nvidia and ati cards? anything more been said about the 5830 i read on here the other day isnt that suppose to be out tomorrow?

I would get a 5850 it's well enough for your resolution and would last you 3 years at least. If you think you will upgrade your monitor to a 24 inch with 1920x1200 res then go for a 5870 or Crossfire 5770s and if a 30 inch with 2560x1600 then a 5970.

think i'll be sticking with this monitor for a long time. looks like the ati side of this has been narrowed down, is it worth waiting 6 weeks for nvidia new stuff?
