Spec me a GFX please

Hi all,

I play Wow and Quake III mainly, also play Quake 4 and some BF 2142.

I'm upgrading the family PC, which I'll swap with my current one 1900XT, core2 1.6, 2gb 6400 Ram etc.

So, I'm just going to get Core2 1.8 and 4gb 6400 RAM, just don't know which GFX is best for current play, but also for future games at medium detail if I come across one I like.

Best bang for buck card for this purpose?

Sheesh, I was so up on spec'ing hardware 1.5 years ago

Money not really an issue, obviously I don't want overkill

3850, 3870, 8800GT ,8800GTS (512MB) pick depending on budget ,they are in order of performance ,worse to best
