Spec me a good MMORPG

Well back in the good ol' days 2001-2004 i was really into Habbo Hotel. I know i know its not a mmorpg, but from then on i really liked online games. Then runescape.. and i was a fan but for only 2 years.. and so i'm bored again, does anyone know any good MMORPGs, is WoW any good, and is it future proof? How long do you think it'll last? Know any others? reply please

Lord of the Rings Online is good, playing it every now and then. Aimed quite well at those who play casually as well as those hardcore gamers. Lifetime subs can be bought for £99 which lets face it is a bargain if you're into the game.

I can't really comment on WoW or DAOC as I haven't played either for a year or so, both were going downhill when I quit.

LOTRO is by far the best looking MMORPG, it is quest driven though but my experiences so far as a 27 burglar have been pretty damn good. I am quite a casual player though and don't tend to rush through games.

Is it only for people who like the movie, tbh i didnt like them one bit.. but is the game totally different or what..

1gb Ram
200gb hdd
80gb hdd
Windows XP pro
GeForce 6600 AGP 256mb Graphics - not amazing i know..

I used to play FFXI a lot... was great when you find a good group of friends to linkshell with..

I quit 2 yrs ago because of school work was failing and i got bored of grinding (same with a lot of mmo's tho)

Guild Wars is good too, less about the grind more about the experience.
