Spec me a good mouse matt please

For the last 2-3 years I have been using the steelseries 4D Pro Gaming pad which is rubbish! The tiniest bit of dirt/grit gets on it and ruins the pad by putting thick swirl marks in it and damages mouse feet/guides which creates friction (no longer glides smoothly -this mouse is 4 weeks old and the guides are screwed already)

Now that I have some spare cash I want a new matt to go with my new G500 gaming mouse.
Although I don't game I do use AutoCad & Photoshop, just thought I'd mention...

This is a Pic of current mouse and matt, which is soon to be replaced with New G500 and hopefully a new matt.

I noticed some mouse mats are like £30... this seems ridiculous. But I dont have a budget for my new mouse, aslong as it will last me over 5 years then its all goood.


What I want:
1. Long lasting, durable mouse matt, where the steel series is not durable its worn badly.
2. My mouse needs to glide 'like a car on icey roads'

I hated foam mouse mats and wanted a plain black plastic one. I couldn't find one anywhere so I got a colourful plastic mouse mat and cut a square of black from the back of a plastic black ring binder and stuck it on the colourful mouse mat. VOILA!

This mouse that I have is plain black plastic, sounds like what you want to be honest. it has 2 sides, ones course, ones smooth. But its crap, mines all scuffed up and worn near the centre..... £13 worth of mouse pad here.
 
I would suggest the Everglide titan, its a cloth matt but its incredibly durable.

I have had mine for a year and im a really heavy gamer, yet its just as smooth with my g5 as the day i bought it.
 
I was trying my mates cloth type mat, and it was very grippy, the mouse doesnt glide.... someone please confirm not all cloth mats are like this...
