Spec me a good Whisky £25 - £30

I owe my mate a favour, and since he is a whisky lover, I am buying him a good whisky. His particular favourites are Highland Park and Jura, both around £25 for a 70cl bottle.

Does anyone have a recommendation for another good whisky in the same class or slightly better up to £30 spend?

Looks like I'm going to end up with two to try. A few days with wifeys away and I think we'll soon polish them off. Balvenie Doublewood and Caol Ila look to be good. Just need to source the Caol now. Sainsburys have the Balvenie on offer at the moment I think.
