Getting a new (second-hand) car shortly, most likely a Focus (thanks for recommendations). I want to get a gps unit for it. I know the fitted ones are mega expensive, so one of those ones that sticks to the windscreen would be fine. I've heard that TomTom are really good, but read a review saying the newer models are no longer the best. I'd like to spend under £200 including subscriptions if necessary. Planning routes on the computer is also essential. Which one do you guy suggest?

Thanks

I've just bought a TomTom One XL and it's great. My mate has a Garmin Nuvi and while it's easily as effective a SatNav as TomTom, the interface is less friendly. Both are laden with more features than you'll need. Best bet is to head over to PocketGPSWorld and read up on the ins and outs of each model within your price range.
