Hey all well it has been a very long time since I have built a computer or rebuilt in my case maybe 5-6 years or longer I was thinking of just starting with a case and each month or even a couple weeks change something for new so I chose a case the H700i by NZXT just need to order it now but upon further research my GPU Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce is way to outdated for any new games I actually didn't realise it was that old till I had check the model number just.
I am looking on the £250 mark what can you recommend? I'm not sure if my mobo will be okay it should be for now it's a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H with a i7-3770k CPU It will also need to able use the 6 pin connectors from the PSU Thanks.

1060 or 570 I would think. Members market would open up more options but dont know if you have the prereq's to use it?

Thanks I don't mind going a little over if it's worth the increase in performance what I will get

Someone is selling a Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Xtreme Gaming local for £300 is it worth it?

I’d pick it up in your situation, yes. I don’t like pre-mined cards so it might be worth investigating it’s history first.

Yeah good point he's selling a few 1070 cards I think that's the situation I would also rather stick with something with a valid warantee my new cost I can go up to is £330

Personally think that is too much given OCUK had them brand new at £329.99 last week, and I think they'll drop a bit more before 11 series cards drop.

That said, if you need to buy now, then 1070 is about the best you'll get in your price range.

or i can pick up the EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 SC 8GB ACX 3.0 Black Edition for £50 above my budget brand new will it bottle neck my mobo though?

Dont buy the mining cards for £300.
Either get the RX580 at £249 or go for GTX1070Ti £400 not the GTX1070 at £350.
the perf difference between 1070 and 1070ti is justified.

Thanks for everyone's insight i'm still not 100% what i'm going to purchase yet but I have benefited from this thread I have learnt a lot from the years out of practice I know for 1080P its a overkill going anything above a 1060 but games are becoming more and more demanding and I most likely will upgrade my monitors after my mobo ram and cpu get upgraded

We've done a deal for some 1070, Inno3D HerculeZ, they are currently £350ish, this Friday we shall do them at £329 which is pretty much lowest a new 1070 sells for and its the last of our stocks so once they are gone we predict any new stocks and new prices on 1070 will actually be higher.

So if you can stretch to £330 and buying new 1070 is a good shout, otherwise for £250 I'd go RX580 8G with FREE game.
