OK, sorry for a Spec me thread but been away from the world of Graphics for a while...

Have around £400-£500 to spend on a new graphics card(s) currently running an Asus MF 2 and therefore would prefer to go ATI so if I buy a single card I can always upgrade into XFire at a later date...

Want to game at 2048 by 1536 plus, is mostly a variety of FPS (Far Cry 2, Fall Out, various COD, etc..)

I am happy to go XFire although not idea what's the best bang for the buck at the mo

4870X2 or a 295gtx (single card solutions) or, you could use sli or xfire. Personally, I'd probably go for a single card setup but that's just me.

For £500 and using that mobo, the best performance would be:

and

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-188-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=939

together. I took the liberty of picking out two from the same brand 'cause I'm OCD like that. If you wanted to save £20 you could pick the cheapest model of each.

for £100 less, you could get two of these:

They are the top two performing solutions for >£500 on that motherboard.

well I don't to splash the cash now if something new is just around the corner :) then again don't want to wait for an age! so single 4890 i think and see what happens
