Spec me a graphics card

I think the connector on my x800 bravo is on the way out, i often don't get a signal to my monitor and it goes yellow and red when a draft of air blows past the cable.

So, i think I need a new card, but having been out of the market for a while I don't know whats what. I have a budget of about £150, and am thinking about another ATI as the x800 has been a good performer and I like the drivers, although I wouldn't mind getting an Nvidia card if it was a better deal...

Do you mean a 512MB x1900XT? If it is, then no, it's not quite as powerful.

The nvidia equivilent to the x1950 Pro would probably be the 7900 GS, like this one:-

x1950 Pro, by probably about 15-25% more in fps. In terms of VFM they are probably about the same, as the 7900 GS is slightly cheaper.

What about a 2nd hand 1900XTX 512mb? I have seen a few of these on MM for around £180.
