spec me a graphics card

i want to upgrade my card from a ATi 2600 pro
i am thinking of an 8800GT, but can you guys help me choose one based on my spec?

i'd lke to play at my native res of 1680x1050 with most things on high

AN52
AMD 5200
2GB corsair RAM
500W huntkey PSU
XP Pro (moving onto vista 64bit soon)

i play a lot of call of duty 4 and pro street

Both of those card you suggest are overkill and a waste of money at 1680x

1050 resolution.

8800GT and 3870XT are fine for that res

Its the best value high end card at the moment, id go for that.

i just got a leadtek 8800gt and i'd really recommend that, was only £150.

running crysis with lots on high plus AA and tf2 with aa,af and everything on high (textures = v.high).

the ati cards look like good bang for bucks but i prefer nvidia, had less issues in the past personally and i'm likely to have this card for a year so what's an extra £40?
