Spec me: a graphics card

Currently have an EVGA GTX 260 (55nm) 896MB DDR3. It copes okay with games such as Crysis, FarCry and the likes. Any performance increase is always welcome.

Ideally I'm looking for a card which is equal or better than the one I have. The one thing that must be MUCH better is the power consumption - particulary for 2D, ie: the time spent on Windows desktop, web browsing, etc. The machine is on 24/7, hence spends more time at in 2D mode than 3D.

Lower consumption during 3D mode isn't a bad thing, but I'm really looking for the best power usage reduction while keeping/improving peformance.

Maybe I am looking for the impossible - tell me.

Hi, have a look at a 560 very good GPU's > the Gigabyte has a the twin fan cooler, so overclocking it will be ok, read a couple of reviews > £155 -

Ive just gone from a 580 to a 6950 2gb, cant say I see any difference in any games so far.

Its a great card for the price.

Almost definitely as the new cards are 28nm, as opposed to 40nm for the current cards and 55nm for your GTX 260.

I wasnt really playing that much, I was gonna get rid of my desktop but ended up mothballing it for a month after selling the 580.

A second hand 570 with a good warranty. I picked up an EVGA 570 superclocked for £190
