Spec me a Graphics card.

Hi guys,

Ive been lurking the forums for a bit gathering info but would like your opinions
on upgrading the graphics card in my rig.

Basically im gearing up for BF4 and want to be able to get good performance, please note, i will be streaming/recording.

Currently i have the AMD 8350 with 8Gb Corsair Ram, a 750 W Corsair PSU in an Antec 902 case (hopefully your suggestions will fit the 902 case!)


So, my options are...

Nvidia 770 GTX
Nvidia 780 GTX
AMD 7970/280x
AMD 290x (when released, i know the facts are still abit unknown)

Is the processor holding me back when considering the 780 or the 290x?

What are your opinions on this, I just dont really want to have upgrade any time soon

Your CPU should be fine, you may require a mild overclock just to remove any potential performance bottlenecks. What are you looking to spend?

780 territory, no more really.

apprehensive to see how much the 290x will cost.

That's easy. You get the 780 if it beasts the R290X on reviews, if it's worse, or if you desperately want adaptive v-sync and physx, you get the nvidia.

Just OC the heck out of that CPU to avoid bottlenecks.. which you might still get.
