Im looking for a graphics tablet. But I know nothing about them! It will be to draw stuff in Corel Draw, and then to get them transferred to DXF format for Laser Cutting Advice, and products to buy would be helpful. Budget around £50 to £100 say? Would that be doable for that price. It will be bought for my business, so price is flexible.

Cheers!

I have a tablet made by Trust. It serves my needs well, I'm sure a Wacom is much better in many ways but if you don't need absolutely top quality they might be worth a look? It's certainly much cheaper. A pretty decent sized one would be within your budget I imagine.

What advantages do the pro ones have though? Is it worth paying more, as the budget is flexible!

Anything from size, to pressure sensitivity on the pen to a display built into the surface. Google around, there's plenty of reviews about

Can I ask what you're drawing?

Its going to be designs for a laser cutter. Specifics are secret! I have a small one, and my sister fancies making some designs! So this way I can have it drawn into the programs, instead of mucking about trying to convert scans etc.

Lol, yeah I don't care what specifically, just what type of lines;) Like freehand stuff? Sketches? Or technical components etc.

I use a laser cutter for making architectural models and wouldn't get on with a tablet for technical drawings to scale.

Nah, I use AutoCad for anything that needs accuracy! I have made a few odds and ends and am more than happy withthe performance! Drawings require a tablet of some sort though! I have no artistic talents whatsoever, but I can do complex 3D modelling, assemblies and designs by memory alone. I can't even draw a convincing stick figure! Seriously :(

Have a look at these models! http://www.laserscript.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8&start=10 Seriously good on a laser. Not mine of course!
