But now my brother wants a new graphics card now after seeing mine :p

So what ive decided is to give him mine and for me to buy another more powerful one with the sale of my imac 2012 i5. ;)

which would you recommend which is powerfuler than mine, and that I would notice a difference and work on my computer ?

The gigabytes have UK RMA and offer the quietest cooler on the market, in the shape of the windforce..

I have an msi gpu myself and it is great though at 60%+ fan speed it gets a bit noisey.. I really should turn down my OC on it I guess. :)

Got both a wf 780 here and an msi tf 650ti. Personally i find both coolers start to get loud above 60%. But i only ever go above that when setting fan speed manually for benchmarking. Gigabytes uk rma is a very reassuring thing though.

so with the grpahics card I have now, would I notice a big difference with the Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 OC WindForce 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card ? and is it worth upgrading to ?

and will there be enough power with the Seasonic G series 550w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply for the new graphics card ?

The MSI's are definitely quieter this gen.

It will be fine.

and will I notice the difference in performance from the current card I have now ? ie Radeon R9 280x 3072mb GDDR5 and the one I want in the Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 OC WindForce 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (GV-R929OC-4GD)
