Another spec me thread. ;)

Am in the market for a more comfortable headset... budget is MAXIMUM £50 unless it really is a stonking deal. Currently I've got a USB Plantronics headset (can't remember model) and whilst it's good and comfortable for the first few hours, after 3 or so it starts to hurt my ears a bit tbh.
Colour... I'm not keen on the white ones really... so black mainly although I may consider white.

Generally, they will be on my head for 2-10 hours at times. I'm happy with USB or Audio Jack and if I DID get an audio jack, then I could finally utilize the jack extension on my G510 keyboard. I imagine now-a-days any headset over £20 is going to sound fine as i'm not a huge sound freak! Also, I generally don't have music or game sounds playing through them... but sometimes I get the urge to block myself out so on the odd occasion I do, but usually it's voice chat coming through. My sub deals with music :)

Let me know some suggestions and I'll have a look. ;)

Cheers,

I've got a logitech G35. Awesome bit of kit, very comfortable for long periods of use and surround sound that actually works really well.

Only problem is that its a reasonable chunk over your budget.

It is on offer this week though

I went with the Corsair HS1A, can be had for around £50. Very comfortable for long usage as it has memory foam pads.

Happy with it so far and seems to have excellent reviews. I paired it up with the Xonar DG for £20 as it has Dolby headphone and a headphone amp.

Dolby headphone through decent stereo headphones is better than a 'real' 5.1 gaming headset.

I'm using the Medusa via onbroad sound 5.1 using Dolby Digital live, have used a descent stero headset, for example play a jazz track, the Medusa wins hands down, gamings the same, you can here them coming upto you from behind far better than stero. :)
