Hi people,

Don't really know much about headsets so just going ask here.

I'm looking to get a decent gaming headset in the £40-50 range. I don't have a dedicated sound card only the one built into my Asus P9X79. Currently I use a cheap Logitech 5.1 speaker system for my pc but as I'm usually playing games between 10pm and 1am i can't really use them late at night.

Would like a mic as I would like to get into play CS:GO as I was addicted to 1.5 and 1.6. Would be great if it worked with PS4 but that's not a major issue.

Keypoints:
  • £40-50
  • microphone

Other than that tell me what to buy :)

Thanks.

Tbh ive tried every headset from 50-100 and the best ive found is the logitech sets.

They are really comfy and you can wear them for hours with no brain damage lol.

The sound isnt the best but its good enough, you get bored of fake 7.1 and turn back to stereo anyways.

If you want a decent 7.1 youll need to spend like 300 quid.

The pair i have now were only £30 and beat the £135 mad catz pair i had by a mile!

I think the normal price is £50, Logitech G230 Stereo Gaming Headset, they do have a 7.1 set but like i said its poop unless you get an expensive pair.

It took me like 6 months to get these as 50 is a bit much but for 30 they are amazing.

Ive tried like 12 pairs this is how bad it is to find a decent headset these days lol.

I remember the ones i used about 11 years ago. Cost like £10 from a high street retailer.Worked fine lol. But these ones are really comfortable. Made the sims 4 sound awesome :P while waiting for destiny to update.

Yeah they seem to be the main talk these days how much you pay for them? They were down pretty cheap a few times.

They fit over my ears alright. I prefer the velvet pads on the cup to the faux leather ones as they are a bit softer and don't get sweaty after a while wearing them. They feel solid and quite light.

Well i don't really listen to music on my pc, but i hooked them up to my ps4 and used them while playing destiny and i thought they were brilliant. Could hear were people were pretty clearly.
But i'm no sound expert but for that price i reckon they are pretty good.

Yeah i saw that. Pretty much cant go wrong with the quality at that price. But anything much better costs a fortune.
