Spec me a headset

I want a 7.1 headset. Something that will really immerse me into games like ROTTR and the Division. Not interested in communication as I dont play games lie that. So maybe something with a detachable mic. Most important thing though is good 7.1 quality.

Budget is up to £100.

Not sure about 7.1. A lot of people say they are pointless as u only have 2 ears.... I don't have the experience to comment on that though.

I do know however you can get a nice pair by Sennheiser for that budget, very good quality. I would go for sound quality over surround.

Although not a 7.1, I have a HyperX® Cloud which is great for the money. They do a 7.1 version called the HyperX® Cloud II which at a guess would be equally as awesome. Maybe check out some reviews.

+1 for HyperX Cloud II if you want the Virtual 7.1

7.1 is great, just do not buy Corsair.

I bought Corsair set just after Christmas, still battling with their warranty team and don't have a working set now 2 months later.

Go for a brand more established in gaming - Razer or Logi as above.

Im in the no 7.1 camp.

I bought Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Plus from the place with the trees and they´re better than any headset I´ve ever had - 7.1 or otherwise. When it comes to immmersion and positional audio in games I´ve had lots of different headsets in the past and find that a good set of proper headphones does the job much better, especially for someone like you who doesn't need a mic either.

With your budget there are some AKG ones on here or the Beyerdynamic DT770 or DT990 for around the same price on rainforest. Can't recommend the ones I have highly enough, in terms of immersion the only way my moosus can get my attention when i have them on is by throwing something at me!
