Ello. Me and a mate have just started mountain biking and are quite interested in getting a video camera we can attach to our helmets but don't have a clue what's good and whats not. Obviously it needs to be small, light weight and be water proof what with all the rain we've been having. I wasn't looking at spending a huge amount, could probably stretch to about £150.

Pub ideas so far have included gaffer-tapped webcams, with laptops in our rucksacks but thats probably not too practical!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, mods move this if it belongs in photography.

Cheers

Chris.

Action Camera Excellent value for money. I think they even do a package deal with SD card etc.

I would advise to see if you can find a video made with the camera your thinking of buying because I watch a lot of helmet camera videos of downhill tracks to see if I think they are worth visiting and most are awful. I know if I had payed for the camera that had recorded some of the ones I have watched then I would be really dissapointed with the quality as they are quite a lot of money!
