I'd like a very high resolution camera to monitor a prisoner in my dungeo........errrr.....I mean to monitor some equipment in another room in the building.
I've had a machine installed in another room and I'd like to be able to monitor it while it's in operation. The whole thing is about the size of piano, but I'd really need it to be focussed on perhaps a 50cm x 50cm section, a small part of which has an small 5" LCD screen, which I'd be able to read through the camera.
Ideally I'm thinking some kind of network or POE camera. It doesn't need to be POE as it will be indoors, the resolution and quality of the image is the most important thing so I can see the best representation of what's going on when I monitor it on a large computer screen in another room.
Any ideas or suggestions as to what I should be looking for?
Any good brands?
What res and mp count can I get?
It won't be recording any of the data, it's only for realtime streaming when the machine is in operation - although perhaps I can double it up as a security camera and have it record aswell?
