Right, i'm in the middle of repairing some disco lights to chuck on ebay, but i need to reattach some coloured glass discs (roughly 1" across) to a thin sheet of ally.

Normally i'd drill the ally and use some pan head screws to hold the glass tight, but on this unit the colourwheel is sandwiched between two other mechanisms and there isn't enough room.

The glass is roughly 3" away from from a 200w arc lamp, so it get's kinda hot!

Any suggestions as to what will do the job?

Most binary adhesives would work I'd imagine as they'd be a thermoset polymer and hence heat wouldn't be a major problem (i.e. they won't soften).

When i say binary i mean you have to mix the resin and hardener, epoxy would probably do the trick.
 
Problem is, the glass is quite smooth, and it may be difficult to get a good bond. I would recommend Araldite, but i dont know what the thermal properties are like.
 
I'm trying to find my thermometer to check the temperature the metal gets to.
Unfortunately my 2 year old uses the laser pointer on it to tease the cats with. And she's put it somewhere safe. :(
 
Yay, only took half an hour to find it :)

Glass gets up to 140 degrees C, so the stuff JPMonkey found will be brlliant, cheers :D

Roll on 200 quid when i get rid of these lights! (cough * new tyres * cough):D
