My first holiday abroad by myself im looking to go for 7 days, i would like a nice hot country so i come back with a nice tan:) anyway i dont really care about clubbing i more want to go sight seeing and do activities like ride camels and swim with sharks etc.
I am interested in going to egypt but having trouble booking there as easyjet dont fly there, and im having trouble navigating around the others sites.
I think im better off with a package holiday that takes me off to these places, but still lets me do what i want to do. With the package holidays the hotel should come with a free bar if i do fancy drinking at nite, would that come with the food, ill probably be eating out during the day time but an nite when i return to my hotel ill want something to eat.
My budget is about £600-£900, that doesnt include spending money.
Cheers:)

If you're having trouble booking online then it may be best to head to the travel agents, especially if you want an all inclusive deal (inclusive bar/food).

How many people are going? If it's only you you might run into some problems with single supplements etc if booking a package.

Also when do you want to go? Generally the shoulder season is cheaper, plus the weather in Egypt is likely to be slightly cooler then too.

As a rough guide, you should be able to get a week in a half decent all inclusive hotel in Sharm el Sheihk for about £800 in May, rising about to £1k in August.

That link doesn't work properly, it just leads me to the start of a search.

Search on here for Egypt threads, I've posted my opinion a few times.

I'm a complete and utter Thailand fanatic - you can't beat it.
SO much to see and do, your budget would mean you would live like a king, friendliest people in the world, amazing scenery, safe place etc..

Early July is the hot season, Late July is the start of the rainy season, though friends there last year said it didn't start until late August.

By rainy, we are talking about evening downpours. It rarely rains for more than an hour at a time

go in December-March, it's AMAZING.

who did you book with?

Cheapest airline i found was Etihad, flights were £500 return from heathrow, fantastic airline. Free food and drink on the plane (including top brand alcohol), entertainment was reat (touch screen, 250+ movies etc) and the hostesses were incredibly hot.

Getting around Thailand is very easy, hotels will set you back £3 - £30 per night, food and drink is so cheap, and i'd say it's the best place to go on your own - if you want to meet people, there are so many like minded travellers to meet, we met hundreds of wicked poeople.

myself and a friend made the point not to book anything in advance (other than flights), just get there and wing it, best decision ever!
