The G620 is now out of stock as is the LG DVD drive, ive upgraded to the G840 for an extra £11 and went for a Sony DVD drive.

Ive also opted out of software from OcUK as you can get good deals on software for students at the moment (little sister is a student!) Ive got a copy of Vista sat here because its crap so ill install that and get an upgrade to W7 and Office Pro Plus, only £70 so thats a bargain!!

In all I dont think thats a bad system for the price!

Aye, struggling to find a cheap case. The Xigmatek looks a decent bet. The Merc looks decent (still on pre-order), seems to be missing dust filters, like most cases in that price range anyway. I would add an exhaust fan though. The PSU(s) are exhausting into the case.

Was thinking of the Fractal Design 1000. Looks decent too but difficult to get any feedback on that one.

The Antec 300 is solid.

how on earth do you make a PSU exhaust into the case? the only case i know of that is even remotely close to doing that is the silverstone raven 3, and thats because the PSU is mounted sideways, where the front intake usually is.

do you mean their intake is inside the case?

also, i;d agree with the exhaust fan if it was a reasonably expensive gaming rig in there, but its just a little sandybridge processor so it seems like a few quid that should be spend on sweets instead

only thing i;d change is the case. despite what you'd think numbers wise the antec 100 is actually better than the antec 300. its cheaper too
