Decided this was worthy of its own thread-
A while back I took control of the website for the model club of which I'm a member. The hosting is currently with UK2 (Don't touch with a 50ft bargepole, godawful!), and I need a cheap & reliable webhost. Two catches though-
1. Both domain & site will be transferring over, plus 1 additional domain. These MUST be registered in the charity's name/ number. Several hosts I've spoken to don't know what I'm talking about, or can't do this.
2. Need to be able to take cheques for payment. I'm going to make the initial payment myself, but the model club wants to be able to recieve the invoice & send a cheque in future. (Accounting)

Webhost should support the standard stuff, ie. PHP, SQL + mailserver. I don't require silly amounts of space or bandwidth, but a little headroom would be nice.

I'm presuming its a model club, which is registered as a charity - this is often done with clubs that are meant to be not-for-profit for a number of reasons (not least the tax benefits).
 
Yep, the model club is a charity & has a number as such. (Don't ask me anything more than that!)
While I'm not trying to claim anything back tax wise ATM, I'm trying to ensure that everything is 100% in order for the charity commissioners etc.

With any luck someone here has similar experience :D
