Spec me : A hot drink machine that also does hot water

My Breville one cup just exploded, so it is time for a new tea kettle, but I want to take the opportunity to get a machine which does hot drinks as well - one of those where you put in pods / capsules whatever for coffee / hot chocolate, but also will do just hot water as I would not want to use it for tea and continue to use my own tea bags.


The only ones I can find seem to not do hot water on its own, or only hot water.

Anyone have something which does both? Budget up to around £300.

Technically the Tassimo can if you use the cleaning disc, but it won't be boiling so it wouldn't be suitable for tea. Although you'd need to regularly run the cleaning disc through it to clear out any coffee/hot chocolate residue so the convenience factor would be diminished anyway.

Yeah I saw that on the Tassimo, making it a non-starter unfortunately. I think I probably need one with a separate water outlet. Found one which does just coffee from beans, but really looking for the full shebang.
