I have just been given an old computer (missing hdd and RAM) by a neighbour. It is a 775 mobo with some kind of core2duo in there. Not booted it up yet but I am pretty sure it all works.

The case is pretty rough though and I am thinking of using it as an HTPC so I am going to replace that.

Can anyone recommend a smart and small mATX case which will:

use full size PSU (or spec me a new mini PSU as well if that will not be too much more expensive).

Take a full size 5.25" optical drive

Take at least two 3.35" hdds

Hopefully not too pricy as well!

Well I love my Antec Fusion Micro, but it falls down on a couple of things:

It has a mATX (or maybe even proprietary) PSU. It's a good quality antec unit though, replacements are available from them, but 3 year warranty on this anyway.

It seems to take only one 3.5" drive, however I have no doubt another could be bungee modded in there fairly easily, maybe antec even do an additional caddy for it, I'm not sure. There's definitely space.

It's come down in price from £150 to around £69 when I got mine. There was a chap selling one on the MM, may have sold by now though.

Nice case, you get a cool screen and remote with it too. Only other thing to bear in mind is it's low profile, and such takes low profile expansion cards and CPU coolers only. I'll get some pics up of my build at some point, but it's very smart. I listed the spec in a similar thread somewhere....
