spec me a htpc for under £300

hi all, my media centre pc is getting a bit tierd now and needs an upgrade. I would like something that handles 1080p, and a board with hdmi out put and also digital optical audio would be nice. the only thing i dont need is a tv card, or a hard drive.

I would like it to be as quiet and as small as possible, maybe matx as i think itx would be a bit expensive for the performance?

I Believe the ION chip is designed for just that!!.. plus with 2Gb RAM and the N330 it'll handle 1080p easily!!..

If you're unsure streach the extra £50quid on your budget for the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-002-AK&groupid=43&catid=1446&subcat= and get Blu-Ray too!!

Well it says it does, would be false advertising if it didn't

It doesn't say anything about the quality of the playback , it could support Full HD , however whats to say it won't play it at 1fps ?

Barely what you'd call supporting it then is it? Like I said it's pretty much false advertising if it won't play a bluray properly. I've not got one of these systems though so can't really comment, but I'd be mightily dissapointed if it didn't work as stated, and would be shipped straight back to the supplier if this was the case. Perhaps somebody who has one can chime in here?

EDIT seems pretty good to me skip to 2:55

cheers for the video mate, looks like steal. would have to get a couple of usb dvb tuners but thats not a biggie
