I'm becoming increasingly disgruntled with attempting to setup an XBMC box in my front room.
I tried a Zotac Zbox prebuilt box which worked well but wouldn't turn on via remote, I sent that back. Then I looked at a Raspberry Pi but didn't bother proceeding due to having to spend just as much money for the Pi as I would on a HDMI/SPDIF splitter. Plus it's limited in power which won't give me the smooth operation I'd like.
I'm thinking is a custom option the way to go perhaps.
My criteria is as follows;
Thanks

My criteria is as follows;
- Only for streaming content from my NAS, nothing more. Should however be able to play back 1080P bluray rips without drama.
- Must have an optical SPDIF out
- Must be silent or near silent
- No optical drive needed
- Must work with a Harmony remote control but understand I can simply buy a USB received if need be
- Budget - the absolute least possible, but let's say £200 max
Thanks
