Spec me a HTPC

Hi Guys,

Could someone please spec me a small as possible HTPC machine, I looked at nucs but they're to expensive.

Requiremnets
sub £300, ideally less I don't need storage other than a boot drive
CPU score 4000+
As small and quiet as possible

How about an Android box, something like the Minix range.

I use a pentium K in mine for plex.
But then my box doesn't need to transcode during typical use because I use my PC to rip and encode.

What are you going to be playing content on? 1080p? 4k?

Honestly, the NUCs are the way forward. I managed to build one for just under £300 (think it was £279 odd in the end).
