Spec me a hub please!!!

Hi guys!

I've been looking around and can't seem to find a product which is best suited to my particular requirements and wondered if any of you knew one?

I need an 8 port Gigabit (wired) hub which also has the fatest wireless networking for my recording studio.

The thing is I need the wired aspect as my control surfaces need LAN (Euphonix Artist series) as well as the fact that the recording studio itself is up the garden and we hard wired a Cat5E into the ground and the access point is in the control room if that makes sense?

I need wireless however as I need to be able to close the door linking the control room to the live room for obvious reasons but am currently squishing my ethernet cable to the live room computer every time I do!!!

I currently use a 5 port Netgear switch but need something with wireless - I have never used wireless so I am not up to speed on the latest and greatest but I do a lot of file swapping so the quickest possible would be good!

Any bright ideas?

You just need a wireless access point, which connects into your switch (via ethernet like a PC would).
 
Can you recommend a wireless access point for plugging into the network? At the moment my Netgear DG834GT is struggling to push a strong signal to my room - the connection is fine for browsing, but playing video or pushing large files around is a big no-no from my room. I would like for it to support WPA2.

Sorry to barge in and ask my own question, but I am sure the OP will want the same info! :)
