spec me a i7 setup for £1500 ?

hi looking for a new setup i currently have a c2d e6300 overlcocked with 4gb ram i am looking to have a new setup i have a monitor case and keyboard so just need the base unit really im favouring a fairly denent looking and case with watercooling in the future so knock ur selves out any help will be appreciated

Yeah, when I had one it was enough to play Crysis on max settings using 4xAA. Looks mint.

my two pennies, the PSU is overkill but would allow you room to maybe add a 2nd 285 in SLI later if needed

Edit: didnt include OS so add another £90 for that

Yeah, thats what there meant for. Stick the OS on the ssd and all your files on the conventional hard drive

With a budget of £1500 I'd definitely look at getting an SSD. As in my spec, all the essentials are adequately covered and you still have cash to burn.

I have a Samsung 64GB SSD that I run Vista and my apps from, it's fast and totally silent.

lol i spent that time speccing the pc and then realised you wanted a case too. my bad

If you got a corsair PSU instead and removed 1 noctua fan and 1 hdd you could stick a nice case in their stead.

Yeah but for only £20 more an HD4870X2 or two GTX 260s. Which are much faster.

With that budget you can get this, main difference from my original spec being A) the gfx card, a 260, which should still be fine for most games on max settings still, and you can always add another later to go SLI B) the PSU is nonmodular, meaning any leads you dont use you have to tuck away, which should be quite easy with this case
If you wanted to shave a bit more money Id look at the case personally, thats a nice case but you can have one cheaper
