Hey guys,

Just got myself a Ipad 2 :-) loving it apart from the finger prints on the screen

Anyways at the moment im carrying it to work and back in the box which isnt great so looking for a case, what i need is something that will protect the front and back of the Ipad, but I want it to also have the magneit thing like the smart cover if possable, and to look good,

any ideas?

thanks guys
:-)

Probably not exactly what you're after, but I got the smart cover and then bought a hardshell case to protect it when carrying it around. The case is a Cool Bananas BulletProof Hardcover iPad 2/ iPad Case. Works really well along with the smart cover, as it fits in quite snugly and doesn't move around at all as it has a velcro strap that you close around the iPad when it is in.

It is about half way down in this roundup: http://www.dowrypost.com/2011/09/11/10-best-apple-ipad-2-covers-cases/

Didn't actually realise that the inside was made out of memory foam :)

Another Stilgut vote from me. Actually, I got the idea from here after getting a Griffin case that was rubbish (it started to fall apart within a week).

Only slight concern with my Stilgut is the thwack it makes on the front edge of my iPad when I close it, but no harm has come so far. It does leave the edges of the iPad a little exposed so I'm using extra protection while using my cheap backpack because that offers no protection whatsoever.

I noted earlier that SwitchEasy are doing iPad folio cases. Don't know what they're like, but I've ordered iPhone4S cases from them already because the ones I had for my 3GS were quite good (as recommended by Feek).

PS - Beware marketplace sellers if you go looking - some are selling fakes (I got one).

I got a iPad SwitchEasy "Canvas" case.

Not sure I like it because the latch to keep it closed is SOOO stiff. It's hard to close.

It also has a hard cover for the back. My question is mainly about that. It's really hard to get the iPad back out of the back cover. Haven't managed it yet. I guess it's better just to leave it permanently in there?

Any one have this cover? Not sure I like it. Of course the store guy said "oh sure it's easy to pop it out of the back cover if you need to"... Yeah right

Snugg do a very nice case for iPad, much better than Apple's offering and it's cheaper too.

I should have asked here first and gotten one of the above. Arg... Well if anyone is looking for an "iPad prison".... To be fair it looks real nice. I've got the tan color. Just don't expect to get it back out easily.

Suppose I'll use it till I get sick of it and then somehow pry the iPad out without wrecking it.

hahah 'ipad prison', you make me laugh dude.
I'm just doing some ipad 2 case research and found your troubles, fun times! The canvas looks very nice though, but thanks for the warnings!

The kensington cases are extremely high quality and VERY hard to damage and dent, meaning the ipad inside it is perfectly safe.
