You need to outline your preferences.
How many buttons would you be comfortable with and how big are your hands etc.
What sort of keys do you prefer, flat laptop style or chunkier keys.

Personally i have Big hands and the need for extra buttons. I am also paranoid about FPS and Lag which is why it took me eons to switch from chorded to chordless. In the end i took a gamble on a 2nd hand MX1000 from M&M. Superb mouse that replaced my MX510 perfectly and no damn chord holding me back. The MX1000 is superb in every way for me, i feel totally in control of my kills.

My keys of choice are the Speedlink Ultra Ally. Flat keys don't snag your fingers when skimming over the top of them in mad FPS moments. The keyboard is well weighted and never moves about. The amount of contact needed to activate a key is perfect and it's Very hard wearing. I've had this one since Decemeber and have thrashed the bejesus out of it and it's still perfect.

So for me the MX1000 and the Speedlink Ultra are the Perfect gaming combinations. Both can be had from your friendly neighbourhood OcUK store for a Lot less than 120 quid. Use the change to get an Icemat or other high end gaming mousemat.

Another vote for the Speedlink Ultra aluminium keyboards. I stupidly bought a £60 Enermax keyboard, and then found a speed link keyboard to try out. Both felt exactly the same, look quite similar, and are almost identical to type on. The only real difference is the price, the speedlink is a fraction of £60 :(

I got a Enermax Aurora Keyboard, and I will never go back to thick plastic boards ;)

Price is a lot though,

Logitech Di Novo Media Deslktop or the logitech MX 5000

Both are very good and use bluetooth! just see which one would suit your monitor and speakers best! :

both are around the £90 mark, which leaves you enough for a nice big icemat!!!

yeap.. i agree!!!

i'm using the diNovo Laser Media Desktop.. no regrets!!!

I've got the logitech G5 wired mouse, it's wireless counterpart the G7 i would definately reccomend. The G5 is the best mouse i've used no doubt, comfy as hell and fits my hand perfectly :) The G7 has the same build as it, so it'll be the same but minus the wire.

I have a Copperhead and a G15, cannot fault the Copperhead. The only problem with the G15 is that the paint on the keys comes off after a while. But apparently Logitech have sorted this by using a different coating. So with that being the only problem between the two and not being there anymore.. They're perfect! :D

you can RMA it with logitec mate, and they will replace it for you
Only thing i found with razer mouses is the posture they force your hand into as they are long and quite thin, after a while my wrist started aching so i decided it was time to switch

I do prefere the flat keys as i find i can type a lot quicker, plus i think they look better. I'm swayed towards the Logitech Di Novo Media Desktop just because it looks so cool, and the extras it has look interesting. Plus it matches my Samsung SyncMaster 215TW Thanks for all your replies !

Minus the wire, but plus the weight of a battery and radio transmitter unit thingy. I prefer the light weight of the G5 with a wire tbh :)
