Spec me a keyboard, possibly a mouse

Been looking for a while at keyboard/mice and quite frankly it's impossible to make my mind up as to what I want...

Keyboard:
I won't spend over £50 (Would love for it to be less :P)... It needs to be a UK Keyboard and a media center is a must (Volume up/down and mute mainly). Programmable hotkeys aren't needed whatsoever, but if they fit in the budget then i'm sure I could make use of them.
I'd like wireless, but wired can be an option.
It also has to be a full sized one as I find the compact ones... well... bloody awful.

Mouse:
I don't need a mouse as I have one already (4-5 years old though) but if it comes with a mouse then so be it...

If anyone can suggest something worthwhile then I'd appreciate it... If OCuk don't stock what you suggest could you still post it as well please!

Thanks for the insanely quick reply! I forgot to mention that I'm not keen on the wave boards... I find them very uncomfortable to use and type with and I wouldn't like to get use to one as I use standard keyboards at work so my typing would be all over the place. =( Something like that without the wave would be nice ;)

Edit:- Looking at the keyboard, it looks like it's just got a raised section to it and isn't curved towards the user like some of them... The Curve keyboards are what I hate. Could you confirm it being a normal shape but just having raised sections please??

I am also looking for a wireles set, so forgive me for jumping on this thread.

What is the performance like of the wave, i.e. what is the delay like?

Am wanting something for use in the living room, range of 7 to 10 feet.

regards,

Matt

Thanks for the info mate, I'll take your advice and look mainly into Logitech, but i'm still worried about the Curve design... a friend had one and he said it was fine once you got used to it, but I can't get used to a different one when I use standards at work :S

Yeah I know what you mean... some people don't like the sort of 'ergonomic' type keyboards available but the Wave is not too bad. Whatever you go for stick to Logitech ;)

I'm not to keen on the Wave style keyboards either so I picked up this Logitech wireless set a couple of weeks back and I really like it.

Not sure how good the range is really as I only use it on my desk which is next to the PC but I haven't noticed any input lag. Has a nice typing action along with being quiet and not clicky which was essential for me. Also has the media buttons you were looking for. All down to personal preference at the of the day but don't think you can go wrong at the price. Even the mouse isn't too bad.

Can you do me a favour and carry the keyboard away from the desk and let me know what the input lag is like, also any chance you could have a go at finding the max distance it will work from.

Okay I tried typing from the other end of the room and as far as I could see the lag was minimal to virtually non existent. This was roughly from a distance of 5 to 6 meters away. I couldn't take it any further as I would be out of the room so looks to cope well at distance.

Hope that helps.
