spec me a lappie...

Hi,

Im after a laptop, I have around £500 - £600 to spend..

Should include:

wifi,dvd rw, 100g hdd or bigger, a decent gpu,1 gig RAM - larger the better

I dont like the heavy ones a light one would be great...

I will be using it for designing and games

Perhaps I want too much but I thought Id set u guys a challenge

I'm not sure if people can 'spec you a lappie' unless there is a manufacture which offers customizeable parts.

But what I do know is £500 almost definately won't be any good for games.

sorry not so much parts I was after mate, more the finished product...

I hear ya about my budget however the best or closet to that would be great

I doubt youd get that spec for £500.

But you should be able to get a decent pentium m 1.5, 512mb ram and a 60gb hdd, with wireless and a dvdrw drive.

Will be fine for most things but not games, mine has an S3 mirage gpu and itsnot great, but it runs simcity4 quite happily.

You're not going to get all that for £500-600. Anything in that price range will have integrated graphics. There are systems with bigger HDDs, but often at the cost of a slower CPU. They also tend to have 512MB of RAM.

You'll be needing to spend a bit more if you want something of a good spec like that. The Dell 640m is a nice machine (I have a 630m) and pretty good value, but it's not the spec you want.

edit: ok lets up the price then , we've established at that price its impossible so whats the cheapest I can get a laptop for so it will fit my description?
