Spec me a laptop...again :(

I had decided on the below Dell XPS but delivery is far too slow so i won't get it in time for me going away on the 26th

here is the spec:

XPS L501X
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 BIT)
Intel i3-370M(2.4GHz) Mobile CPU
320GB Serial ATA (7200RPM
3 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz (2 DIMMs)
8 X DVD +/- RW
15.6 in HD WLED TL (1366x768)
1 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 420 Graphics Card
Primary 6-cell 56W/HR LI-ION
£370

Now that is pretty perfect for me because my budget is (ideally) £400 but I am thinking about spending a bit more. I really want something with a graphics card so I can do some gaming but I know that is pushing it a bit. I was originally thinking of an Acer because they are well priced but in my other thread everyone advised against them. I have never bought a laptop so don't really know what to look for and what a good price is.

So do your wisdom members of OcUK and recommend me some laptops!

you could get an msi fx600 for 379 at the moment which is nicely speced for the money. not going to beat those dell outlet prices though if you like the systems. acer are ok andthey sell a lot and as with everything no one does a hey my laptop is aworking great thread every few mins to counteract the problem threads. you can get a great warranty very cheap with acer. couple of bargain acersystems at the moment to be found inc the 3d one for 449. i have been googling hard the last couple of days and you find problems with every manufacturer. think i will just pick one with the best warranty so dell or acer.

Thanks a lot mrk1@1, that MSI looks awesome for the money!
Don't suppose you could PM me the links of those Acer laptops. I was sticking away from the Acers because a few people who do repairs said that most of the laptops they get sent are Acers.

Its either the Asprie 5745DG 3D @£449 or the Aspire 5943G @£499.

Got to be honest, avoid the Acer. Show it daylight, and it will crumble. It's the one continual model I see in for repair from friends
