Hello, I'm going to be getting a laptop as i want to get rid of my desktop PC and my desk to free up some room in my bedroom. My budget is around £1000, i don't want a dell because of there poor customer service, i was going to buy one not 2 days ago but dealing with there customer servicers has put me right off. They should really try and get a UK call centre, would probably increase there sales greatly!
Anyway, what i want from my laptop is a big screen (17"+). It will mainly be used for work, maybe a bit of gaming, used as a media server for my PS3 to pick up etc etc. Mainly general work. Wi-Fi built in but i guess that's pretty standard now a days, I don't have much knowledge of laptops. Not too bothered about blu-ray as i have a PS3.
I've looked at various laptops but am struggling to make up my mind. HP's look nice and so do Sony Vaio's. I know people highly recommend Acer's but the design looks a bit shifty to me but please suggest one if it's a good system.
