Spec me a laptop for uni

Hi guys, I'm looking to purchase a decent laptop for uni..

Budget is between £300-500

I won't be playing any games on it, just typing during class and maybe watching a movie/browsing the net/playing poker during breaks... So a long battery life would be nice.

This one looks alright at a glance, best for the price on OCUK. What happened to all of their self built ones?

I'm just going back, and will be taking a Samsung N140 with me. Battery life matters a fair bit in lectures where there aren't really any power sockets, and the atom will cope just fine with office/firefox.

I have plans on researching terms I don't understand/have interest in during the lecture. We'll see how that works out

yes, but did upgrade of HDD to 250GB
