Dell have loads of deals atm with laptops best looking about and finding the best one. I rang up for this deal a couple of weeks ago and they shot in a free laptop carry case and 9 cell battery upgrade for free!, great service can highly recommened them. They also gave me home premium instead of business edition.

my m8 got that same sort of spec laptop from dell last month and u know what he was charged £51.00 shipping what a joke. i know if it was me buying that laptop at the time i would have not gone through with it.

how much did they charge you for the shipping ? Tom|Nbk

I bought one of the 1501s a while back, but I got a free carry case, free delivery and an upgrade to a 6 cell battery for £363.

However Tom|NBK you don't seem to have read the thread properly! He wants something that is ultra portable (under 2KGs) which our laptops aren't; closer to 3.

Being ultra portable adds a premium to them, so for £599 the spec beermonster posted isn't that bad at all. The equivalent Dell is around £750.

theres not many come in under the 2KG mark, cant think of many 15.4" sized ones anyway, the philips also has wifi modem and pc express so is pretty well spec'd and put together. i see hundreds of laptops a week and i would go for one.
