Spec me a Laptop

Hi all,

My friends kids have broken their laptop and poured juice over it lol. My job is to retreive their files from hdd and spec them a new laptop.

They use it solely for their small business. No specail software just Office and the likes to work out their accounts and to print off documents needed for the business.

No set price range but I want to show them something practical not 1k+.

Any ideas are welcome...

For what they appear to use it for go to Tescos and buy something off the shelf for £400 with a Intel Dual Core 2.0 Ghz and 3 to 4GB of Ram and Windows 7 installed.

This post probably seems a little tongue in cheek but honestly there requirements are so minimal they really dont need to spend a fortune on a laptop.

You can become the hero and save them a fortune and give them a working laptop by the end of the day
