I am a horrible student and i have a budget of upto £300

I need something nice portable with a decent battery life.

£300 will get you a very good laptop in the form of an HP Probook 4320s.

Asus ul30a.

Do some searching about and you can get one for around the £300 mark. Mine runs very well, despite having been dropped multiple times

Battery reguarly puts out 8 or 9 hours and I throw everything at it, photo editing, video editing etc.

Trackpad takes some getting used to, I use a usb mouse a lot. Awesome machine for battery life and portability at this price though.
