Had enough of cheap bic lighters (took 15 mins to light a firework outside, where it was mildly windy :D had to resort to get some matches and that i can tell you was embarassing). I dont smoke it's something i had on me in case i need to become a pyromaniac :) . At the moment I am considering getting a plain silver zippo or a matte black one, any other ideas?

Flames + fireworks dont mix.

You can get a special piece of rope/string that just glows hot at the end like a joss stick for around 1/2 hour. Sorry don't know the name, but they are very common.

Flames can lick in any direction potentially lighting the wrong part of the fuse, or ignite some loose powder.

Zippo.

Edit/ had mine for over 6 years, its never missed a beat, although latley it wont stay full for more than 4 days before it needs filling :(

got to be a zippo..the bunsen burners just blow the end off your ciggie....the flame throwers are good for destroyin things or meltin a hole in your mates plastic pint glass just before he tries to take a swig... just below the lip.....

As you don't smoke and are only keeping it in your pocket for 'occasional' use a Zippo or any petroleum lighter would be unsuitable as they will dry out over time so when you do come to need it, it probably will not work.

Exactly, besides, Zippos are only used by wierdos anyway, what you want is the origeonal, one and only Clipper:

Used and trusted by mj smokers the world over :D

I have a jet lighter that I play around with, and I tell you it goes through gas ridiculously fast. It is like a mini blowtorch though :D
Saying that mine is tripple barreled so I would get one with less barrels :p pretty cheap as well, about £3 from a stoner market.

You sound like my cousin. He's the kind of guy that carries a lighter and a folding knife, "just in case".

Weirds me out.
