Spec me a linux box.

I've got a case that can take a M-ITX Mobo. So my main plan is to build a rig to run something like Ubuntu or Mint on.

I want to remain budget I will probably get RAM from the MM etc. But still put it in the spec. Main uses will be messing about and collecting dust.

Yea that would work fine but if you can afford it the AMD is quicker and has much better IGP.

I'd go with an intel build.

Even though the M1s are great boards and the APUs pretty decent, the drivers aren't great under linux. Main issue I found with them is the network adapter suddenley disappears. Not useful in a server

Good point. totally forgot about the lack of support for amd/ati on linux.

so its either an atom board or something like a second hand i3 530 and h55/p55 mitx board.
