I will be looking for a Linux Distro very soon as work is throwing out there old PC's, after a mirgration to new high speced PC's.

The PC's There Throwing out are P4 3.0Ghz to Core 2 duo 2.4Ghz with 1GB-2GB Ram. so i thought why not grab a few for HTPC's

Im looking for Linux Distro with the following Features:

Fast
Fairly easy to use
Stable,Effeicent
Support for Intel Intergrated Graphics & support for 1920x1080 res.
Support for Apple Lossless Music Files
(Which App would you recomended? i use Foobar/VLC on Win/Mac)

Bonus would if Mac like Interface is avaliable:cool:

I Have Previously used Fedora 9 & Ubuntu.

Thanks:D

Any will do but if you just want to play music with as little hassle as possible then try Linux Mint. It will have all the codecs already installed as well as a decent music player. Make sure you get the main edition though as the Universal edition doesnt have the codecs.

Why don't you try XBMC Live? It should work pretty well, unsure if Intel integrated graphics will handle 1080p though?

+1 XBMC (I tried this under Sabayon by accident!! :D ) The interface is really nice (similar to Window MCE - but much better)!!

I think you would be able to decode 1080p MPEG2 and x264 (just) with a 2.4Ghz Core 2 + Linux. You wouldn't be able to do anything else of course... The XBMC distro will support better GPU accelerated playback with a low-end Nvidia GPU then Intel integrated graphics (but it definitely supports the Intel chipset).
