Spec me a machine please?

Hey guys,

Have a little bit of extra cash this week so might try and see if I can get an upgrade. I have £250 to spend, can't go over that, well I could manage an extra £5-£10 if needed but no more. My current specs are:

550w PSU
VTX 6950 2gb
4gb ram
[email protected]

The PSU should be OK it runs the above, case is also OK, so I need CPU/mobo and ram. I have money set aside for another venom cooler so that is ok to. I would like to be able to overclock with the mobo a little as well if possible.

If I can get an upgrade that is worth it from my machine with my funds that would be great. Is the upgrade worth it for my budget? It is only for gaming.

Cheers for any help. Oh also I have over 250 posts and my account is linked so I should also get free shipping on everything?

I dont think its yet worth it.

If you could get more money to be able to afford a K CPU and a P67/Z68 chipset motherboard so you can overclock too then it would be better.

What you gave me is quite a big increase I think from that link you gave me. If the i5 was overclocked more it will be even more?

also the retail CPU is only £2 more, and includes a free game/heatsink (you may need) 3 year warranty and a shiny box.

You must have a P67 or Z68 chipset to be able to overclock.
