Spec me a maple syrup

I bought Clarks maple syrup recently, 180ml bottle for £1.98. Was very nice with waffles but I was wondering if I'd notice a big difference buying a different brand or even a more expensive brand? What do you recommend and has anyone else tried Clarks? Tesco and Sainsburys also does a Clarks 'pure' maple syrup, same size bottle but for £3. I wonder if it's worth the extra compared to the 'original' in my screenshot?

Correction: the one I bought was the pure, the original has carob fruit syrup. But I didn't pay £3 for it.

I would have thought pure maple syrup was pure maple syrup, regardless of manufacturer?

I usually get Clarks. Got an authentic Canadian maple syrup from Co-op once. Tasted like tree...

Me too. But I think they harvest the sap at different times of year and I think there's different grades of sap. Perhaps that gives variation in the quality or flavour.
