Spec me a mATX mobo w/ CPU

Struggling to pick a mobo for my first proper gaming build.

I can't really find any threads that compare the Z170 or Z97 boards.

H97 i was thinking of going Devils canyon with :

It's been so long since i have gamed on a PC, is there much difference between the i5/7 for gaming nowadays?

Or go for a skylake CPU & DDR4 ram:

So if i compare both i5 bundles they're the same price roughly so which one do i pick? Note i would like to overclock a little.

There isn't much range for motherboard for mATX rigs so i am struggling on reviews & choice too?

For a single GPU config I'd go Skylake, the clockspeeds are better and you'll get better longevity out of the chipset.

thanks for replying. Yeah i will only ever be running 1 GPU. I'm using a Parvum case so only need the one.

Hows the mobo looking? No reviews anywhere.
