Must Haves

Any help is and always will be appreciated. Good Luck

You can get an awesome sysem for £1500 but forget about monitors if you don't want to cheap out.

Our Titan Diamond system ticks all the boxes (I can add an SSD option to the system for you) and then all you will need are the monitors.

lmao. Did you miss the part where he said quiet? Even at idle the 470 is like a jet turbine.

And I do have to wonder at cooling in the Asgard case (great budget case though it is)

Not quite "lmao" but anyway, the 470 isn't as loud as people make out and not as loud as the 480. Either way the 470 can be changed for a 5870 which is both quieter and better performing.

The Asgard has both intake and exhaust 120mm fans. So good cooling for its size, you aren't going to get sub zero temps but it is no where near bad.

intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66GHz - £185
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Intel X58 - £153
OCZ Gold 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 (1600MHz) - £123
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5870 - £320
OCZ Vertex 2E 60GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive - £163
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB - £56
Corsair HX 650W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply - £99
Xigmatek Utgard Midi Tower Case - £68
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium - Retail - £93

Total £1260 + delivery

6Gb of ram instead of 12 but that is more than enough.

That gives you around £200 for monitor setup, you won't be able to get a dual monitor configuration for that price, you need £300+ for that.
Perhaps an SSD isn't necessary?

That with an upgraded GFX card of your choice 5870 seems popular

Intel x-25m 80GB SSD

and

That will prolly come in at around £1600 all in.

I have a titan goliath myslef from OcUK and have put one of those SSDs in and it's an awesome beast!!

P.S. Change the HDD in the Goliath to the Samsung F3 1TB

Don't, whatever you do, exclude an SDD - the BESt upgrade you can make to ANY machine imo....
